Starting Tuesday February 7th. A monthly “Student Performance Series” at The Bell Cafe featuring the best that our students have to offer. There will be between 6-8 performers every show. They can either choose to perform solo or with Matt and Noah backing them up. There will be auditions this Saturday and next for the Feb. 7th show. We will be working with students on audition prep, performance, and feedback as well as showing them what to do if they “don’t get THIS gig.” Our only priority is to make sure this is a positive learning experience for all. There is no cost to audition or participate. The Tuesday night performances will be fundraisers towards Mako outreach efforts, to provide free and discounted lessons to those who otherwise couldn’t afford them. Should be fun!
Here is the schedule until June 2017. These dates and times are subject to change. Check Facebook for most current news!
People ask “how old should my child be to play x?” My answer always is “I don’t know your child, every kid is different, but if he or she is interested they deserve a chance.” More often than not, they can. Any place that has hard and fast rules about age limits probably doesn’t know that much about kids. How did I teach 4 year old Connor how to play a drum beat? Innovation, and getting parents involved with practice. Anyone can play… and Connor is a stud!
